                                • Such as cycling to work every day, eating a plant based diet, etc?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                                • When will you bring in household food waste collection to stop this waste from going to landfill?<\/span><\/li>\n
                                • Many people want to cycle around Wellington but live up steps and don\u2019t have anywhere to store a bike.<\/span>\n

                                  • Do you support the provision of secure, weatherproof bike parking on city streets so that people can keep their bikes in the same way you currently support car owners?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                                  • Internationally, cities that are nicer places to walk around are considered better places to live. What will you do to improve the experience of pedestrians in Wellington such as wider footpaths, less on street parking, more green spaces, protection from the wind and rain?<\/span><\/li>\n
                                  • The council has to push through some big and expensive projects – particularly LGWM and rapid transit.\u00a0<\/span>\n

                                    • We need land for housing.\u00a0<\/span>\n

                                      • Bike theft seems out of control right now (showing that bikes are VERY popular, but disappointing for their owners).\u00a0<\/span>\n

                                          Hard Hitting Questions<\/span><\/h1>\n
                                            \n
                                          1. What is your position on the Three Waters Reform and why have you come to that position?<\/span><\/li>\n
                                          2. There is currently no funding allocated to physical work for climate change adaptation. All that seems to be in the pipeline is planning. Communities are looking to the Council for the creation of a multi-party, community-led and council-funded taskforce to accelerate impact assessments and action.\u00a0<\/span>\n
                                              \n
                                            • Do you agree with the community’s call for such a response?\u00a0 And, if so, how would you see it resourced and funded?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                                            • Adelaide Road and Riddiford Street have been deemed not suitable for cyclists and general motor traffic mixing as it has 20,000 traffic movements along them every day, including at least 30% being Heavy Vehicles. WCC attempted to put down a transitional cycleway that was stopped through a court injunction with those applying for the injunction wanting the road space to remain as free car parking space for motorists. Going forward, what is your plan to stop cyclists mixing with general motor traffic along this corridor, while helping those businesses who need car parks in order to trade?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
