  1. The entry into Stokes Valley is no longer fit for purpose, given the increase in population and traffic into the valley. It is chronically bottlenecked, is vulnerable to flooding and accidents, is indirect (so wastes petrol), and has a flow-on effect to other traffic. <\/span>\r\n
      \r\n \t
    • What will you do to provide Stokes Valley a direct off\/on access to the motorway?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t
    • Do you agree that if there is a move to introduce volumetric charges for water for residents, it should only be introduced with the consent of the majority of voters?<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
    • What are your priorities to work on for the next three years if you are elected?<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
    • What are your thoughts on the public libraries in Hutt City, and do you have any plans around them?<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
    • Many bus stops in Lower Hutt, are not at the required 15m entry taper, a 15m marked bus stop box and a 9m taper exit to ensure all bus stops are compliant with both Waka Kotahi requirements and GWRC accessibility charter to allow for the bus to kneel for those passengers who need it. Some of these non-compliant bus stops have car parks marked right up to the bus stop on both sides.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n

      • If you had to make the decision, would you remove the carparks to make the bus stop compliant which might be against community wishes or leave the bus stop as non-compliant?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t

          • What are you going to do to ensure young people\u2019s voices are heard and actioned to keep our city vibrant and growing?<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
          • We need more affordable housing. How will you ensure more land is freed up to build high density housing?<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
          • What are you personally going to do to role-model climate action such as biking to work every day, going zero waste or eating a plant based diet?<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
          • There is no overlap between planet saving planning and car centric planning.<\/span>\r\n

            • Covid has shown us that we need a bit more space to move around and not catch contagious diseases. At the moment those in cars have all the space and pedestrians are squashed onto narrow pavements.<\/span>\r\n

              • What will you do to make more space for those of us walking around the city?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t
              • Delaying projects that reduce climate change is a well known strategy by climate change deniers and the fossil fuel industry.<\/span>\r\n

                • What will you do to ensure projects are started and completed in a timely manner and not delayed constantly by small groups of people?<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t
                • What is your immediate actionable plan for upgrading decaying and failing infrastructure such as sewage, water, and stabilisation of hillsides for critical routes and suspending non critical projects?<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
                • Are you a current member of any political party and has your campaign received any support from a political party, including access to voter databases and volunteers?<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
                • Dog owners in Christchurch have been issued with a lifelong metal disk engraved with their pet\u2019s unique identification number from June 2022 under a change to dog registrations that will help the environment and save money.<\/span>\r\n
